David Cook American Idol Season 7


Yesterday Simon declared Little David Archuleta knocked out the competition. Just when you thought you've figured it out, American Idol never fails to pull out a big shocker!

Congratulations David Cook for winning American Idol Season 7! Though David Archuleta fought a good fight, especially last night's showdown. David Cook has more "Wow" songs through out the competition. Both Davids were my favorite picks from the start, so either way I'm happy for both of them. I'm looking forward to this seasons contestants and how they'll make it after the show. Hoping they make great individual albums and or movies. This season had all the drama, excitement, disappointments and shocking moments. I love American Idol! and can't wait till next year.

Garage Sale

My dad scheduled to come home this month, work, errands, my 1st garage sale and to top it off I have my dogs to take care of. I'm not complaining, in fact i love being busy in lieu of wasting time thinking of pointless things and persons.

We usually just give away or throw away most of the things we don't need anymore an aftermath of our cleaning escapades we have at home. Manang our house help goes home with a big smile on her face since she gets first dibs on the stuff we get rid of. This year, my cousin asked me if I'd like to join her upcoming garage sale. Since we are cleaning up the house in preparation for papa, I agreed and joined my first ever garage sale.

I only had a two days to prepare. I spent most of the time sorting my stuff which can be sold and which ones to get rid of. I brought to the garage sale tons of magazines sold at PHP5 each, figurines PHP20, unused make-up, lotions and body spray PHP50-100, old cds PHP50, cassette tapes PHP5 each, old clothing Php 50-100 shoes and sandals PHP20-100 and other knickknacks. The most items sold were cds, dvds, bags, cassette tapes, make up, sandals and clothes. The magazines were not that much of a hit, so I decided to sell it to a local junk shop per kilo.

I was expecting a hot long day but the weather was kind. At the end of our garage sale, I summed up my sales and I was Php4720 richer! I couldn't believe it. This is kinda addicting (I thought) All of that stuff I don't use anymore were turned into cash plus I got a few new acquaintances. I'm definitely looking forward to the next garage sale.

American Idol 7: Top Two Finalist


First Round Judges Choice

Paula's choice for David Archuleta "And So It Goes". David performed it quite well and the arrangement was good, almost had goosebumps. Randy choice for Syesha Mercado "If I Ain't Got You". Loving the sparkling gown. An Alicia Keys song is very hard to sing and not be compared to its original. Syesha tried to make the song her own and she sang it well than I expected. Mr. Simons' choice for David Cook "First Time I Saw Your Face". When I heard Simon's choice for Cook I was like hmm... interesting. I recall David C's past performances, one could assume that he could pull this song and make it his own and he did not fail. Over all, I think the judges chose safe and predictable songs for the contestants. All three performed their respective songs well making this round a triple tie.

Second Round Contestants Choice

David Archuleta choose "With You" by Chris Brown. It started okay then a bit shaky but I I give props to David for choosing an upbeat RNB song a divert from his usual mature ballad. Syesha choose "Fever" vocals were great but I wished she worked sexy sultry up a bit and the chair thing wasn't much help. David Cook "Dare You to Move". Bitin perfectly describe this performance. Just when he hits the big note it ends abruptly. Nobody out shined anyone in the 2nd round. They all made safe song choices.

Third Round Producers Choice

David Archuleta "Longer" another predictable performance. Syesha "Just a Little Bit" nice upbeat song but I felt as if the producers intentionally chose a non-interesting song for her. If they want to exploit Syesha's vocal prowess they should have chosen "Unfaithful" by Rhianna only then it would've been a more competitive piece to sing in the Top Three week. David Cook "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" One of my all time Aerosmith song. I like the arrangement they made. Staring it soft with the acoustic violin then hyping it up a bit. When I was about to get a feel of it expecting a big bang with this song, it left me hanging and I was disappointed. If I'm not mistaken Lindsey Cardinale sang this song way back season ??insert season?? and I liked her version. I'm not saying that Cooks' version isn't good but it didn't live up to the hype of the song.

Syesha Mercado has been a staple at the bottom three / two but she fought and proved us all wronng that she deserved to stay a bit longer than other contestants. With David A's established fan base since auditions and David Cook not afraid of taking risks tweaking songs to fit his stlye, it's inevitable. She has grown on me these past weeks but Syesha Mercado leaves the competition to night.

American Idol 7: Niel Diamond & Rock and Roll Week

What have I missed on AI? I just finished running thru the videos I downloaded to catch up or refresh the past weeks episodes

Niel Diamond Week

This week the remaining idols sang two songs from Niel Diamond selection. From an all time high last week, this week is the most boring week for me. I didn't even bother to download the episode. To top it off this is the week Brooke White left the competition. Not that I was surprised to see her go, with the trend in Brooke's recent weeks performances she heading for that down slope. I think that Brooke should have stayed a bit longer than Jason Castro. Obviously Jason is more redundant with his performances than Brooke. I heart Brooke! Hope she comes up with a good album after Idol.


Rock and Roll Week

The not-so-rock and roll week. I was kinda disappointed with the song choices some of the idols made. I know that there are a lot of great songs to choose from the Rock and Roll era but then again its easy to say or comment on things especially if you are not in their shoes.

Syesha is blooming late ( too late?) in the competition. You could see that she was having fun with her version of "Proud Mary" appropriate hip choreography. For Syesha's second song "A Change is Gonna Come" looking elegant and sexy in a satin gold dress and sincere performance was right on the money. David Archuleta's controversial stage father and a borrowed line from Sean Kingstons "Beautiful Girls" cost AI additional royalties. I don't know if these rumors are true but there's one thing I'm sure of David As' weak performances over the past weeks. Undeniably his voice is angelic but you can't deny that variety especially in song selection is a huge factor in keeping the audience interested and enthusiastic every time an artist performs. I want the goosebumps back! ( referring to David A's Hollywood week performance "Heaven")

Finally! he should have left weeks ago, a waste of space. He is cute but I just don't like him. Terrible way to leave the competition. After the not so Marley version of "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Mr. Tambourine" lyric memory gap. A double whammy disaster! Jason is out of the competition.

American Idol: Andrew Loyd Webber Week

I love musicals whether its movie or a play, so Andrew Loyd Webber week was a real treat.

I enjoyed David Archuleta version of Think of Me. The first time David A tweaked a song, it made the song more poppy but in a good way. In fact my sister and I had a long LSS after watching David A's performance. My sister (who is a huge fan of the Phanton of the Opera) complained that she can't remember how the original was after hearings David A's version until she listen to the original soundtrack. "Rock and Roll Too Many" Syesha was wearing a sexy red dress singing on top of the piano, one of her best performances in the show and another great week for her. David Cook's "Music Of The Night" was perfection. I really appreciate the fact that he stuck to the original melody.

Brooke White, her controversial lyric restart mishap with Evita's "You Must Love Me". I heart Brooke and though she made a boo boo she executed it with taste.. Although I don't like Caryl Smithson, I thought she deserved to stay a bit longer than Jason Castro. Her version of "Jesus Christ Superstar" was far much better than Uhhgh Jason and his painful "Memory". Then again, Jason has a strong established fan base than Carly. So Goodbye Ms. Smithson!

BTW During the eliminations night, The comic supervillan theme thisi weeks Ford "Tainted Love" Music video was wicked awesome!


And like a cherry on top of this musical week one of my new favorite artists of the year Leona Lewis sang live "Bleeding Love". I greatly admire artists who sound as good as their recording (am I making sense?) and does not need digital sound enhancements. OMG Her voice is impeccable! Bless Clive and Simon for discovering her.

American Idol 7: Most Shocking Elimination

Bottom three: Michael Johns, Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado.

Tonight Carly looked really worried since she sang the most inspiring song she could think of, "Show Must Go On". I sat numb frozen as Ryan uttered the dreaded words "Syesha and Carly you are safe" and like rubbing salt to a fresh wound Ryan mentioned "Last year during Idol Gives back we didn't eliminate anybody at this stage of the competition. "Tonight, We are going to say goodbye to Michael Johns. Its the end of the road for Mr. Johns"

This week American Idol encourages it's viewers to give back, America responds and gave us the most shocking elimination.

Fucking OUTRAGE! Come on is this a joke... how could this happen?

On a lighter note: As Michael sings his last song, the camera shot from the back revealed Johns sexy bum. Too bad we ain't gonna see more of that, missing him already.

American Idol: Dolly Parton Week

I wasn't too crazy about Dolly week, I respect her as an artist but country isn't really my cup of tea. Ramiele Malubay was the one who was sent home. I wanted her stay a bit longer than Kristy or Jason but with her declining performance and poor song choice it was already expected or inevitable. It was Brooke White's first time to be in the bottom two, hopes she picks a good song next week.

Out of all of the 9 songs performed Michael Johns cover of "It's All Wrong, But It's All Right" stood out from the rest of the performances. Another Scorching Hot Performance! by Michael. Two weeks in a row, he is stepping up the game. He is one of my favorites since auditions. I always thought that even if he doesn't win the competition he could release a good album but with last weeks, Dolly week performance and just be consistent through the remaining weeks, He may have a shot at the title "American Idol".

American Idol: Songs from Year of Birth

This weeks theme, songs from the year they were born.

The best performance of the week. Born 1978, Michael Johns has resurrected back into the competition performing a spectacular medley version of "We will Rock You and We are the Champions". I loved it when Ricky Minor and the whole band was clapping to the beat of the intro song "We will Rock You". A confident strong voice, good looks, the accent, camera angle, stage lights, great arrangement = Scorching Hot Performance! In the past two weeks, Michael was kinda slipping into the safe zone but with this recent performance I honestly can say that he might have a shot as the next American Idol.

After Michael's performance, it was quite obvious that Carly Smithson was tense as she performs one of my favorite songs "Total Eclipse of the Heart". She was trying too hard. I think she left something in the bathroom which made her uptight. The permanent indention on her forehead and the screaming was just awful. The last note that she tried to stretch was just painful and a pitiful attempt to be as good as Michael's performance.

David Cook performed "Billie Jeane" I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan and I still prefer the original but David's version wasn't bad at all.

This season has definitely lived up to the "most talented hopefuls" ever produced by the famous reality tv show. I have 3 or more favorite hopefuls and it seems that I have to withdraw my earlier attempts of predicting who will win the title. You just can't zero in to one or two, a handful of them are just talented and deserving.

I so want Kristy out of the competition but she made a clever song choice with "God Bless the USA" how can you go wrong with that.

Chekizie was the one who was booted out and there were 9 left.

American Idol 7: The Beatles Night



As per request this week from the Lennon McCartney songbook, The Beatles Night. I'm not a fan of the Beatles but admittedly I like a number of the songs they composed or made. Amanda Overmyer got the lowest vote on Beatles Night. Amanda is truly an authentic rocker no question about that, but she sounds the same week after week. I just don't see her as an American Idol winner. The top 10 finalist is revealed.

One performance stood out. Soft mellow voice and great acoustic Syesha Mercado sang "Yesterday" and it was her best performance to date.

The competition is getting harder every week and everybody has to pick the right songs and deliver it every night as if it's their last performance. Some of my favorites, especially Ramiel, are steadily slowly declining week after the other I hate for them to be the next to go.

Kristy Lee Cook is consistently in the bottom two, no doubt she may have a fan base since she is really pretty and easy on the eyes. But how long will her looks save her? I think she is next to be booted out next week.

American Idol: Lennon McCartney Week

American Idol moved to a bigger venue, a new adjustment for the top 12 hopefuls as they try to command and let his/her presence be felt on a bigger stage. This weeks theme is from the Lennon McCartney Songbook. The judges always mentioned that this weeks theme would be a challenge, the songs are full of melody and are considered legendary hits. A number of them took risks and tried to give their own twists to the songs they selected. Risks were made and a few succeeded, some stuck to the original and shined through the night and other were just plain boring.

Some of my favorite performances were Chekizie, Carly Smithson, David Cook, Brooke White. Wasn't expecting the energy and performance he could give, Chekizie stepped up his game performing "She's a Woman" to redeem himself that "Hey I deserve to be in the top 12". I'm not a fan of Carly Smithson but this week she picked the right song and with a nice arrangement she rendered a cool cover of "Come Together". David Cook gave a solid performance with his own rock version of "Eleanor Rigby". I still have a hangover from last weeks Hello performance I think last weeks was still his best performance.

The star who out shined everybody in Lennon McCartney week is Brooke White her version of "Let it Be". I heart Brooke! Soulfully playing the piano. She is just consistent from the start while other hopefuls are just on a steady decline week after week.

After the Q&A portion one of my favorite artists Katherine McPhee performed "Something" with David Foster on the piano. Gorgeous as usual, the recently hitched Mctatas is brewing up an new album with David. I hope it comes soon, can't wait to listen to it. Wasn't surprised about the bottom three namely Syesha Mercado, Kristy Lee Cook and David Hernandez. I was hoping that Kristy or Syesha would have the lowest number of votes but David got them instead.

American Idol: The Eighties Night

Latest Idol hopefuls who didn't make the cut are Kady Malloy, Luke Menard, Asia'h Epperson and Danny Noriega.



I've been expecting it but I'm still sad that Kady Malloy didn't make it to the top 12. She has the voice but the wrong song choices she made really hit her hard. Hope she could release her own album and really showcase her beautiful voice. Luke Menard rendered or rather murdered Wham's "Wake Me Up". He started the song wrong, it was kinda awkward to watch and it was just a disaster! Somewhat shocked. She has confidence on stage and when she sings but choosing "big songs" and not delivering it, America sent Asia'h Epperson home. Asia'h is more deserving of the top 12 slot than Ayesha and Kristy. Sad, I was hoping Danny Noriega stayed in the competition for a bit longer and add a little spice. I look forward to his performances and in my opinion, he is better than Clay Aiken. He really can belt out a song, have fun on stage and look terrific on cam.

The 80's night was dominated by the Gentlemen. I have four male favorite performances during Wednesdays 80's night namely David Archuleta "Another Day in Paradise", David Hernandez "It's All Coming Back", Michael Johns "Don't You" and David Cook "Hello". As expected my favorites David Archuleta, David Cook and Michael Johns performances are superb flawless. Surprisingly impressed with David Hernandez. Despite the Dick Cabaret scandal, America choose right to include him in the top 12. I'm not a fan but I really like his rendition of Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back", effortlessly hitting them notes.

Definite the stand out of the 80's Male Performance Night. David Cooks heart melting cover of Lionele Richie's "Hello". Cook isn't as cute as Archuleta nor as charming as Johns. But last Wednesday when he performed with his electric guitar, camera focusing on him and right dose of the fluttering eyes, my knees weakened and I started to ...M E L T... as he uttered the last verse " Hello.. is it me your looking for..." damn hotness. He had a "Constantine moment (from Season 4)" but it felt more sincere and had substance. He has to release this song in full.

Among the Girls 80's night only one performance left a good impression, Brooke White for me is the most consistent. Consistent in choosing the right songs, making each week fresh and keeping her loyal fans happy with her performance. Acoustic cover of "Love is a Battlefield" I heart heart heart Brooke!

American Idol: The Seventies Night


This 70's week eliminations made a buzz, talented hopefuls leaving to early. OMG! Two of my favorites were called in the bottom 2 Alaina and Kady. It seemed that Kady has already prepared to go and then America pulls in a shocker... Alaina Whitaker is going home. I'm really sad that she had to go, based on last week she was doin fine. I guess Kady has a more strong fan based established. I also wasn't expecting Alexandrea Lushington... I actually thought it will be Overmyer.

Jason Yeager is the first to boot... It's about time. Luke and Robbie bottom two, Robbie goes home and I don't care.


The Best Performances of 70's Night

The stand out of the male 70's night was David Archuleta with his rendition of "Imagine". Lennon song, the dimmed lights, spotlight, great voice and undeniable charisma = Successful formula. Though it's a little bit early my fearless forecast David Archuleta might pull a Carrie Underwood (A Carrie? what the hell are you talking about?). What do I mean by pulling a Carrie? Last Season 4, it felt like they were buttering up Carrie which made her the obvious winner "the must choose". Then AI still had no Country Idol and a Carrie Underwood came along. I'm not saying that Carrie was a "plant" nor she cheated, they (Simon especially) kinda persuaded and sway the crowd or rather the viewers to choose Carrie by giving extra magic or *umph* (Simon almost declaring her the winner with his every comment after a performance, extra airtime etc.)

The stand out of the female 70's night one of my female favorites, Brooke White made an excellent music choice with "You're so Vain". If last week she did a great cover of Happy Together this weeks song choice was just amazing! I heart Brooke!

Recovery, sickness, wrong song choices, guitar performances, unexpected exits and magical performances. Sums up this weeks 70's night cant wait for AI next week.

The top 12 male is the 1st group to perform. This episode had mispronounced names and wordys, Simon squabbling about Paulas' colors, a cameo appearance of Ellen Degene... oh my bad it was just Colton *squints... squints again really hard*, some of them "just got it" and sparkled while some were given their much needed airtime.

My male favorites since auditions never failed to impress me with their respective performances. As long as it's natural, I don't mind the accent. Michael Johns oozing with charisma rendered his version of "Light my Fire". Although I favored his "Bohemian Rhapsody" in Hollywood week tonights performance was effortless. David Cook delivered a great cover of "Happy together" which made him up a notch on Simon's standards "making it almost believable". David Archuleta sang "Shop Around" and it was just an okay performance. I was expecting more from him, can't help but compare his rendition of "Heaven" during the Hollywood week.

Some of those who got their much needed airtime used it wisely and left an impression while others were just bordering okay to boring. Jason Yeagers' kinda cute but his performance was just *yawn*. Garrett Haley two words hair-cut. Jason Castro and his
rendition of "Daydream" comes in a blend of Paula's' favorite colors earning praises from Simon dubbing him 2nd top performer of the night.

To sum up top 12 Male 60's night, All of them have the talent, the voice it just boils down to choosing the right song and being confident on stage.

The top 12 girls are on the spotlight. I think they have a bit advantage or a hint on what the judges were looking for in a performance, based on the comments that were given when the boys performed. There were no cameo appearances but the flu and bronchitis shadowed some of the girls.

My female favorites since auditions were Brooke White, Kady Malloy and Ramiele Malubay (Pinay Pride!). Brooke White sang "Happy Together" which I think suits her well, especially with her "aura". Though she's my favorite I'm not buying her no R-rated movie policy. The song she choose was also performed by a male favorite David Cook. She brought her own style to the song and can't really be compared to Cooks version. I liked her performance but I think she could be better. Kady Malloy sang "Groovy Kind of Love" I like the tone of her voice and she fairly did the song justice but this wasn't her best. I hope she makes it through and prove them wrong. I so love her Britney impersonations, you know I'm a big Brit fan despite the struggles she is going thru.... (nowadays, who ain't got them?) Pinay Pride! and Loving the hairstyle... Ramiele Malubay sang one of Lani Mesaluchas signature song "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" I was happy with her performance she didn't over did it (which is the usual trend here in the Philippines, yung birit exaggerated) I think she's better than JasmineTrias.

I've added a new favorite idol hopeful on my list, Alaina Whitaker the youngest this season. When I saw her at auditions I didn't like her but with her version of “More Today Than Yesterday” (I don't know the title I just called it the Ayala Mall Jingle) which Chakuzi... Chekizie also sang during top 12 male night. Alainas' version was much better.

After her performance, Amy Davis I've got a gut feeling she is going home her looks won't save her. I'm actually convinced that there were others who auditioned who deserved the final 24 slot than her.

To sum up the top 12 female night, a number of them were actually good like Alexandrea Lushington “Spinning Wheel”, Asiah Amperson “Take Another Piece of My Heart” and Amanda Overmyer “Baby, Please Don’t Go” (love the attitude and style but I don't think she'll win AI).

Elimination Night

Just got home freshened-up and I'm currently watching the elimination night thru a torrent I downloaded. They will be eliminating the 4 lowest, 2 from each group. Cool they showed the "behind the scenes video". I love Daughterys' song. If you want to hear the full song "What About Now" I included it to my updated sidebar Soundtrack area and there are a couple of my favorite songs from former AI seasons as well.

Going back to elimination night. In the spirit of the 60's theme the top 24 performed a medley of songs. The guys are first on the chopping block. A short recap of their performance night and just like that... Garrett Haley gets cut.

The girls are next and as predicted Amy Davis gets cut. No surprise there.

Video world premiere of "Dance like theirs No Tomorrow". Simon and Ryan has a cameo appearance at the end of the video. Wow, Paula still got it (with the help of 15 electric fans). As Ryan hold an electric fan at Paula's side, they try to re-enact a part of the video "recreation" as Randy calls it was hilarious!

Back to the results, Amanda and Joanne are called on stage. Ryan just announced that the remaining girls are safe. Break.

Amanda is safe. Joanne Borgella gets cut.

Ryan calls Chikezie and Colton. Lights are dimmed. Between the two, hoping it's Colton...

Colton indeed gets the cut.

Ryan asks Paula for advice and Paula gives words of encouragement. Colton sighs in relief not expecting that the words of wisdom that Mr. Cowell is about to impart is like squeezing a calamansi on a fresh wound.

I would say get a good job and then seriously and enjoy singing cause I don't think you'll make a successful career out of it. No I don't... - Simon Cowell

Simon is extra feisty... There's one from Simon's Compilation of Must Say Comments. I actually thought Colton would pass but brave young man still sang his last AI song. AI has executed the eliminations quite well. Suspense, drama and tough love coming from Simon a very entertaining week. Last years' season wasn't as exciting and talent was somewhat limited. Here's hoping for more this season, can't wait till next week.

The list is arranged according to the top 24 as presented in the show and their respective auditions. I quite don't understand why some of those who are in the top 24 auditions haven't been aired. We all know that the auditions have an impact especially in forming an early fan base. Well for those unfortunate few, next weeks' episode is their first "air time", either a make or brake. Till then my favorite list is on hold.

If you haven't visited the official AI website, I suggest you check it out and view the amazing photoshoot they made for the top 24. It was a refreshing take vis a vis the usual pictures they post in their website. You might also want to checkout some videos they made. I love the Behind the scenes video, its awesome! At first it kinda reminded me of Backstreet Boys video they made the one with the airplane at the back but it turned out great, especially with Chris Daugherty's "What About Now" song. It fits the vibe of what was about to come or happen to these 24 talented beings. What about now Top 24 show us what you got...

Tid bits

Just woke up and it's about time I do an update...

A few days ago I just finished Resident Evil 4. Playing R4 with Wii made the whole gaming experience refreshing and action filled, literally. Using the Wii remote and the nunchuck made my aim more precise and easily handle Leon's movements. At the middle part of the game, the zombies evolve and shooting them directly on the head just releases the tentacles instead of instantly killing them. I can't recall if the previous versions had them evolving zombies. Now that I finished the main plot, I'm still left with bonus or extra features but I'm eying on buying the unlimited rocket launcher which will hold me back 1M Pesetas.

I hope the strike would end soon I miss my tv series... Heroes, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, Gossip Girl, How I met your Mother ... Most of them were cut short leaving us viewers wanting more.

American Idol is back! I'd be posting my favorites at the end of the auditions phase. I barely get to watch this show on time, thanks to torrents I could DL them and watch during my free time.

Last night I was able to watch the animated film Happy Feet thru HBO. A particular scene struck me the most. Mumble was captured and placed in a glass cage with other penguins he was trying to communicate with the "aliens" asking them to stop taking their fish. Days turned to weeks, weeks into months. When he was about to give up and get accustomed to living in a fish bowl his family (thru an illusion) reminded him of his purpose.

Watching Mumbo stuck inside the glass cage made me feel terrible and to just imagine an actual creature in the same circumstance. I made a decision, I will not participate in any activity which involves creatures caged in a made up habitat as form of entertainment.

American Idol Season 6

American Idol Season 6 is a few hours away from its premier episode. I’m ecstatic and excited that FINALLY I get to watch another season of AI. Though I’m glad that Mau Marcelo won the first Philippine Idol, I grew apathetic watching the show. In the event that ABC 5 would have a second season I hope they make sure that they reviewed the first season and make necessary improvements on the show. To be honest, it’s not solely ABC 5’s fault that the first Philippine Idol season fell short compared to its American version. Amidst the network wars, the Filipino viewers were not ready for Philippine Idol. The concept “Vote for your Idol, the one who gets more votes win” is simple as that. As much as I want to expound this further “Filipino viewers’ not ready”, I’m too lazy to be bothered with recalling the issues. Hay ang pinoy nga naman, well there’s still hope for PI season 2.

Basta I’m super excited to watch AI, mas ganado ako manuod.

Goodbye Ernie and Jeena


They are my favorite Amazing Race Asia Pinoy Team. I still can't believe it... Currently watching the re-run, pathetic as it may seem, I was still hoping that it was just a bad dream that I had and Ernie and Jeena is still in the race. I really thought that they could at least be at the final 3. Taking the fast-forward was a big risk and huge mistake. I'm so disappointed but this only proves how AR is so unpredictable that even Nostradamus would miss on his predictions.

Aubrey and Jackie are still in the race. They were the sixth team to reach the pit stop. I really don't like Aubrey, nothing personal really... It's just that I had an unfortunate chance of watching a short part of the "Sanib" on Cinema One. Every time I look at her, I could still imagine her in her exorcist form. Oh let me correct myself "not imagining" she still looks possessed.

Storm Large: Ladylike

I think Toby Rand, let me correct myself... Toby Rand is Supernovas' lead singer. It's too obvious not to notice especially with his week 10 performance. He is consistent with his performance, though he was sent to bottom three but JD Fortune had his fair share at the bottom and now look where he is at. He offers creativity and young spunk to Supernova. I'm not a fan of Toby but his original song "Throw it Away" was really good, Oh o Oh o Oh O. Supernova sent Storm packing, just like Ryan Starr she's better off as a solo artist. I'm so lovin' the original song Storm sang "Ladylike". If this is the kind of music she'll be making just give it some time and she'd be Storm XXX Large!. Her website Storm Large crashed due to the humongous traffic it's been receiving. Good thing I visited the site a few hours before it crashed, I got the lyrics to "Ladylike" r-rated version. You can listen to both r-rated and clean version on Storm Large MySpace. Rockstar, VMAs, Chillin' Out

The "Dark Horse" Ryan Starr has fallen, leaving Dilana, Toby, Magni, Lukas and Storm for Rockstar Supernovas' coveted frontman position. Based on the forums and polls made,I actually expected Storm to go. Watching Ryan perform week after week he showed great improvement, It's sad to see Ryan leave but he is better off as a solo artist. I've updated Rockstar Supernova Mp3's just click here.

I'm currently watching the full coverage of Video Music Awards '06 via MTV's Official website while guzzling my tall glass of Lipton red tea ( my current addiction) with extra-extra ice. I wasn't able to watch it on the telly (if it was aired locally, I don't know). I might pull an all nighter until I finish this. Shakira's performance was hot. Kelly Clarkson won "Best Female Video" for "Because Of You" but she wasn't there to recieve the award, too bad. Pink won Best Pop video for "Stupid Girl". Ironic, Nicole Ritchie presented the award and Pink was like making her Paris impersonation. You gotta love Pink ;)

Speaking of hot, the current humid weather here in Manila has been running for about a week now. Even if you turn-on the aircon it still feels icky. Selfish at it may seem, I wish it was raining even though most parts of the metro would be flooded even after a short pour.

Tid Bits

I've been quite busy for the past few weeks and I really hope that all of the things I've lined up would turn out great. My dad might come home either September or November of this year, just in time for Christmas. Our first complete Christmas after a decade. We are all excited to greet him with our growing family, Gabby and Mikey. The puppies are growing up so fast. I call Gabby, little teddy, cause he resembles a cute chubby teddy bear. Mickey on the otherhand looks like his mom when she was a puppy and apparently likes to hangout in the kitchen, that's why I call him "kitchenello". Raphy, on the otherhand, is with his new family who also has a shih tzu puppy named Cha-cha. We miss him dearly, the house was so quite when he left us. We are grateful that he is with a loving family and he has a new playmate. I called his new owner the day after they got him and they sounded so happy. She narrated Raphy's antics and how he slept in their bed, while Cha-cha had a jealous streak about Raphy getting attention. We plan to stay in touch with them for as long as we can. Raphy and I had a small talk a few days before the "d-day", I know it's weird but I talk to my babies (dogs), they are good therapists. I hope he remembers me by the time we get to visit him.

I'm getting antsy with my room, I want to rearrange it, again, but the TV is mounted on the wall thus I'd still have to wait for my dad. He likes to do handyman things, all dressed up with matching goggles hehehe. He's kinda OC.

Reality-TV. Philippine Idol is currently on going, I always forget the names of the contestants that I like. It's only aired every Sunday, bitin talaga, I hope that they make it at least twice a week. I'm really curious about the idol contestant who reached the top 24 but eventually decided to transfer to ABS CBN's Pinoy Dream academy, tsk...tsk... Rockstar Supernova is already a few weeks away from finding Supernova's new frontman. I really don't fancy Tommy Lee hence I haven't been as faithful to this season as INXS. I still have my favorites though, I like Ryan Starr, Storm Large and Magni. I liked Ryan and Storm from the start, Magni just grew on me. Dilana 50/50 sometimes I like her sometimes I don't but her voice is just so edgy and unique. I'll post a couple of mp3's as soon as I finish uploading them.
