Congrats Lea and Sophie!

I'd like to congratulate two special girls.

My forever idol, Lea Salonga-Chien. She gave birth yesterday, 16 May 2006 to her first child, Nicole Beverly at Asian Hospital at 12:20 in the afternoon. The baby weighed 6 lbs 10 ozs and has a birth length of 19 inches. During their exclusive interview with ABS-CBN, I noticed that they choose the hospitals' finest suite which costs around Php 13,000 - 15,000 per day. I used to work there and I'm happy that they decided to have their baby in Asian, it's facilities and medical care are the best here in the south of the metro.

A couple of weeks before Leas' due date she posted an invitation to expectnet.com, an online baby pool game and guess who's on the top 5, lil old me. Out of 81 guess from Lea's close friends, family and fans, I ranked four (4) in the game!!! Wala lang... Lea fanatic talaga ako and just the mere thought of it makes me feel like I won a raffle or something of value. Although it would be extra super nice if she thrown in little tokens for the winner or better yet the top 5?/4? Hahaha I'm pushing my luck too far... ;P

Next would be my baby... Sophie! She whelped last Saturday, May 2006 11:10 am, to three healthy puppies! So far we've decided to keep all three. Sophie was great, she was prepared all throughout the delivery. She's very protective and caring to her pups, they already gained a considerable amount of weight since last Saturday. My dad was so happy about the news, especially with the fact that Sophie is well. He can't wait till he get home and see them.

I know I haven't been paying attention to my blog and momentarily I'm hooked with American Idol . Hopefully, very soon, I'll be posting more meatier entries. I prepared a couple of entries but I can't find the time to sit and type away my thoughts and during spare time there is the temptation of playing Sims 2 instead of blogging since I haven't played for awhile.

Updates on my Favorite Artists:

Lea and Rob are expecting, Lea Salonga- Chien is 7 weeks pregnant prior to the report of GMA 7's Saksi. I'm really happy for Rob and Lea, a very lucky baby for that matter. Lea has an upcoming concert in Cebu by the first week of December, if i'm not mistaken, with this recent update would she still continue the concert? I wonder. Hope she takes extra care of her self.

Eversince the band dissolved I haven't been closely watching Darren Hayes solo career. In my opinion, I'm really glad he turned his hair color to black, it compliments the color of his eyes. It's more appealing rather than having it blond. I'm still really hoping and wishing that Darren and Daniel would be "Savage Garden" again. Listening to Darren Hayes new solo music, I still feel that there is something lacking... I really miss the band. The announcement of releasing "the best of album" was just a great news. I am definitely looking forward to the album.

The Evil Sandwich Container!

Oh thank you God for the National Anthem! We were almost late for the play. If I'd rate it from a range of 1-10, ten being the highest, a fair 9.5. Suprisingly Agot Isidro and Jet Pangan were also a crowd favorite (other than Lea Salonga). Jet had this full masculine voice, I was really impressed. I knew that Jet Pangan was in a rock band before as lead vocalist, which never caught my attention... until last night.

A funny thing happened. During the 15 min break we decided to have a quick snack at the GJ stand since we didn't have dinner yet. The bell rang as a signal that the play was about to resume. I didn't get the chance to finish my drink as well as the sandwich so I threw my drink and kept the sandwich. The play was already starting when we found our seats, I wasn’t able to clap the rest of the play! Why??? The sandwich container kept on opening inside my bag (which was actually quite small, needless to say I forced the sandwich to fit in my bag). I was really ashamed since my seat was precisely in front and middle where the actors can see us and see me struggling (but I really tried my best to do it discreetly) to fit the sandwich container in my small bag and plastic sound made it even more difficult. I surrendered after a 20 min battle with evil container! I placed the sandwich container on my lap and decided to cover it with my bag (I couldn’t place it underneath my seat or at the floor since I’ve always practiced good etiquette and the venue was not an ordinary movie house).

The play was already finished the actors did their usual exit (bowing and bowing) and as I was about to clap (and actually thinking of a standing ovation) I heard plastic screeching…. I forgot about the sandwich… It was again opening by its self no matter how I close it, it opens by it self. Lea was in front of me and glanced at me for a quick second … since everyone was clapping and standing giving their praises while I was acting as if I didn’t like the plays out come and I was too busy with my sandwich. Shame...

Lea Salonga: Star Strucked

At the early age of 4 I discovered that I like to sing and appreciate listening to music. I'm a BIG fan of Lea Salonga. It all began when I was 6 yrs old, TV (and Barbie dolls of course) was my world. Being a Manilyn Reynes fan, (c/o of my yaya Vilma at that time, I was gullible) I was browsing through different channels in search for one of her shows (and before there were only a few channels) Low and behold I heard the loveliest voice singing "The sun will come out, tomorrow So you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow Come what may... Tomorrow, tomorrow I love ya, tomorrow. You're always a day away" and ever since I ditched Manilyn Reynes obsession for the Classy Lea.

I always asked my dad to buy me an album of Lea. After 2 years of ranting i finally got what i wanted, HEHEHE ;) my Dad was probably convinced that I really admired Lea Salonga, it was not just a "passing thing/stage". I didn't get the chance to watch "Miss Saigon" and i was really upset. I had to make-up for that! so i watched her concert last year "Songs from Home" and got really good seats plus an autograph!!!! I was star strucked. It was so real that I can't even believe that it was happening, I got to meet MS. LEA SALONGA! She was like an arms length away from me. I was speechless. As soon I was inside the car, I kept on raving on just what happened. I'm planning to watch Baby the Musical this Aug- Sept and i'm really excited.
